If there are two things I enjoy, it’s a bit of womxnity and a good beauty treatment. So, while I was stuck in the Instagram hole every day, I stumbled upon a salon that claimed to offer the best of both worlds, and I was immediately drawn to it.
So I headed to Salon C. Stella in London’s Soho to try out the world’s first Astro Facial. An innovative beauty treatment perfectly tailored to your skin, combining a neurocosmetic approach to health with traditional technology.
This facial leaves your skin glowing, plump and firm, while also addressing a more psychological aspect, claiming to leave you feeling refreshed, relaxed and renewed. It’s a big job when it comes to my stress levels.
What is an astrofacial?
The Astro Facial consists of three simple yet important steps.
Gently double cleanse your skin with Synergie Skin’s Milk Cleanser. Synergie Skin is a clinically backed skin care brand known for clean active ingredients that promote optimal skin health. I have super dry skin (weak skin barrier) and always feel tight and uncomfortable after cleansing, but this time I had no problems at all. After cleansing, my skin was analyzed to determine exactly what I needed most.
My wonderful and incredibly knowledgeable skin therapist then proceeded with some extractions, including blackheads and milia (obviously). The process is so gentle, almost imperceptible, that I didn’t even realize that my milia had been removed until I wrote this…
Following this, your therapist will tailor the next steps based on your skin’s goals and needs. This is done using electrical techniques, microcurrents that can tighten, relax, reduce swelling, and help fight aging. Finally, this is where the magic happens. For the final section of your facial, receive a hydrating face mask, put on your headphones, and enjoy a guided meditation tuned to a sound frequency aligned to your moon sign. This part of the facial was one of the most bizarre, calming, magical, and disorienting experiences of my life. It wasn’t dramatic, but the combination of light and sound felt truly otherworldly, and I almost lost all sense of time. I didn’t know if I was dreaming or if I was really into it. By the end it felt like hours had passed and I was momentarily worried that they had forgotten about me and gone home for the night. How is astrology involved in treatment?
So, before stepping into the salon door, after making an appointment, I was asked for my date, time and place of birth in order to draw my birth chart (Sun in Gemini, Moon in Scorpio rising, Moon in Taurus). Ta. In case you’re interested).
This will be used on arrival to be given a comprehensive astrological reading of your Moon sign, as well as the aforementioned customized guided sound frequency meditation tailored to this sign.

Was the astrofacial worth it?
I left the appointment feeling completely refreshed inside and out. My skin is glowing, I feel spiritually renewed, and my partner even said I was “glowing from within” when I got home.
