We spent a few weeks in Europe and saw the Elas tour twice for about the same amount we paid to see her in the US. We were able to keep costs down by choosing a less popular city and using credit card points. I wish I had booked the hotel in advance. The prices were so high, but I’m glad I planned the whole trip.

The world has never seen anything like Taylor Swift’s Elas Tour.
Since embarking on a highly profitable tour, Swift has showcased her talent and proven that her performances can boost the economy and change travel patterns.
After a short break, Swift is scheduled to resume her tour on Friday.
Although we don’t have tickets to the upcoming show, my two children and I were among the thousands of Americans who traveled abroad to see Swift over the summer. Ta.
We were able to spend three weeks in Europe and see the Eras tour in Poland twice for a little more than it cost my daughter and I to see Swift in America last year.
I went abroad for live music and had so much fun that I would like to go again. Here’s what we did right, what we’d recommend, and one mistake you should avoid next time.
We were able to keep our travel costs down by choosing dates in more affordable countries
If you’re planning on traveling for music, consider going to concerts in countries that are generally cheaper.
These places are often undervalued and inexpensive to explore. For example, we saw Swift in Warsaw, Poland, rather than the super-popular Paris or London.
In Warsaw, tickets for the first show were $150 each (purchased in advance) and the second show was $50 each at the box office (purchased while in Warsaw). Meanwhile, two nosebleed seats to Ellers’ show in Philadelphia cost an astonishing $4,000.
There’s so much to see and do in Poland, and prices for food, accommodation, and more are lower than other popular European destinations.
Sometimes it’s easier to buy tickets for destinations that are less popular.
I loved turning a trip for a concert into a whole trip
Poland has been on my list of places to visit for a long time.
It was the Eras tour that ultimately got me there, but the concert was, after all, just part of an amazing journey filled with great food, history, and culture.
After all, I had no intention of flying and exploring the other side of the world. We ended up spending three weeks in Europe.

I regret not booking the hotel and flight sooner.
To keep my travel costs down, I used credit card points and travel rewards for flights and some hotels.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to use my points for the hotel in Poland I had planned and ended up having to book closer to my trip.
By that time, prices for many hotels in the area had increased significantly. Some hotels in Warsaw have reportedly increased prices by 154% for reservations during Swift’s tour.
I ended up paying too much for accommodation even though I only booked a few months in advance of my tour dates. It was an expensive lesson.
If you’re traveling for a concert, chances are other fans have the same idea. So, book your hotel and flight tickets as soon as you get your tickets.
I made sure to check the rules for local concerts.
Even across the United States, different venues have different rules regarding tickets and what you are allowed to bring to a show.
At Swift’s Warsaw show, each ticket was given a name and ID was checked at the gate. This was unlike any show I’ve been to in the US.
Additionally, the bag had to be small at that venue, with only two compartments. If I hadn’t researched the rules beforehand, I might have missed the concert or been forced to leave my bag outside.
Meeting other fans and communicating with fellow concert attendees in advance made our trip even better.
One of the best parts of our trip was connecting with other fans and meeting Swifties from all over the world while in Europe.
I also joined the Warsaw Swifties social media group before my trip and got valuable information like where to eat near the stadium, underrated must-see spots in Poland, and the best way to get back to my hotel after the show.
