Hulu has released the poster and trailer for Taika Waititi and Charles Yu’s limited series Interior Chinatown, based on Yu’s novel of the same name.
In this series, Willis (Jimmy O. Yang), a background actor trapped in a police procedural, dreams of a world in which he is the protagonist, witnesses a crime, is drawn into the investigation, and unravels the web of crime. It depicts the story of uncovering the truth. History buried in Chinatown.

Based on Charles Yu’s award-winning book of the same name, the drama tells the story of Willis Wu, a background character caught up in a police procedural called “Black and White.” Relegated to the background, Willis does on-screen work and waits for his turn, dreaming of a world beyond Chinatown and aspiring to be the star of his own story. When Willis accidentally becomes a witness to a crime, he begins to unravel Chinatown’s web of crime, while also discovering his family’s hidden history and what it’s like to be in the spotlight. .
