Scroll down to “How others interact with you” and select “Comments.” Here you will see the option to “Block Comments”. Enter the user’s name in the search bar and tap Block against that name. These users will not be notified that you have blocked them. They can find comments on your posts, but they only see them. Alternatively, you can temporarily limit people’s ability to interact with you through messages, comments, tagging, etc. by turning on the “Limit Interactions” feature found under “Comments.” This limits unwanted invitations from recent followers or accounts that don’t follow you. Of course, you can always go back and turn off this feature.
Note: Blocking people from commenting on your posts will not block them from viewing your profile or sending you DMs. In that case, you should block the user from Instagram completely.
How do I turn off comments on Instagram?
If you don’t want to manually restrict multiple users from commenting on your posts, turn off the comments section. Instagram doesn’t give you the ability to turn off comments for your entire Instagram feed, but you can turn off comments on a post-by-post basis at any time. Find out how:
