As Domestic Violence Awareness Month comes to a close, Houston Petset and Crime Stoppers of Houston are highlighting an important and often overlooked issue: the effects of domestic violence on pets.
A press conference will be held today at 10 a.m. and will be attended by representatives from Houston Petset, Houston Crime Stoppers, and the Houston Regional Women’s Center. Together, they will propose strategies to improve support systems for both human and animal victims of domestic violence, providing safe alternatives and aiming to promote community awareness and action. .
