Calling all destroyers! The GU Disruptors Summit is back and will bring so many beautiful people to Atlanta this weekend. For one full day, October 12th to be exact, ESSENCE GU will be curating a space filled with activations, panels, performances, and networking opportunities to learn and connect with other Gillennials.
As with all GU events, attendees are sure to step out in top-notch fashion and beauty looks, especially in celebration of the Summit’s 5th anniversary. Guests are excited to do what they do best, show up in their own individual beauty for a day that amplifies the voices of youth and defies societal standards.
Naturally, we’re looking to some of this year’s panelists for major beauty inspiration. How we look beautiful often starts with having confidence in ourselves and how we present ourselves to the world. This year’s star-studded panelists embody this, reminding us that the finishing touch to any fool-proof beauty routine is authenticity.
For example, Disruptor Summit panelist, ESSENCE GU August cover artist, and Love Island Season 6 winner Serena Page captures attention and touches our hearts by being who she is. I stole it. Fans found beauty in her overall personality and presence, as well as the beauty practices that set her apart.
This includes looks like the goddess braids that allowed her to stay spotless all summer long, as well as makeup techniques including her signature lower lash style, which made many received positive feedback from, but more importantly, gave her confidence. The lash style she chose was eye-catching and fun, exuding the same upbeat energy that audiences have come to love about her.
Additional summit panelists Raven Tracy and Kayla Nicole will teach us that real bad guys cultivate self-love and love for others in a collaborative and inclusive way. These beauties always lead the way and champion self-worth, empowerment, and personal beauty. Both women, the hot pink Raven and the honey blonde Kayla, are known for frequently changing their hairstyles.
