A luxury residential interior design company is seeking an experienced senior interior designer.
Candidate Responsibilities:
Project programming, design, decoration and planning, shopping, budgeting, presentation, construction management, scheduling, project status reporting, and follow-up – ensuring quality and accuracy on each project from concept to final installation. Good customer service is of utmost importance.
We are candidates with strong communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent leadership and team-driving skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate intentions, plans, situations, problems, alternatives, solutions, and resolve conflicts. We are looking for talented candidates. Candidates must also have the ability to communicate flawlessly with high-profile clients.
Applicants must have an interest and ability to work with a fast-paced team and provide direction as needed. Candidates must be strategic thinkers with attention to detail. Within our intimate collaborative design studio, we have the skills to execute projects with style, flexibility and charisma.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and knowledge of Studio Designer or similar purchasing program is a plus!

Requirements include:
• Demonstrated a minimum of 5 years of experience in the interior decoration field with senior roles in complex full-cycle project design and management in luxury residential interiors in New York City.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of New York trade sources.
• Demonstrated knowledge of materials, applications and specifications in the following areas:
o Customized furniture
o Art and Antiques
o Design, material selection and specification of bathrooms, kitchens and woodworks
