The Humane Society of the San Bernardino Valley hosted a special celebration Friday night, Oct. 4, to honor the animals that bring joy to so many people every day.
Families brought their furry family members and loved ones (big and small) to the San Bernardino shelter for the annual Blessing of the Animals service.
The special outdoor ceremony for all types of pets, including those on leashes and those in kennels, featured prayer readings and music, and was led by the Rev. Woody Hall.
Special consideration was also given to families who had lost a pet. An HSSBV news release states that participants are encouraged to “bring and share photos and memorabilia of their pets to celebrate, honor, and remember the precious animals that have blessed our lives with love and loyalty.” It is said that
