SMITHTOWN, N.Y. — Ennui and Ann Anxiety, 8-month-old domestic short-haired tabby cat siblings, have been named the Smithtown Animal Shelter’s “Pet of the Week.”
The shelter says that when Ennui and her younger brother, Anne Anxiety, arrived at the shelter as stray kittens, they were understandably timid and shy. But after receiving proper care and attention, the two have grown into “adorable little cuddle monsters who make wonderful additions to the hearts and homes of lucky families.”
“This brother-sister duo may seem shy at first, but a gentle approach and some patience will soon be rewarded with unconditional love and boundless affection,” the shelter wrote. “This duo will warm your heart with their irresistible charm and provide you with cherished memories to share for a lifetime. Both kittens are healthy and have grown older children, a cat and a gentle dog. It would fit perfectly into most homes.”
