Overview (spoilers below):
On their way out of the pajama party, Suho and Seojun talk about their feelings for Jukyung. While Ju-kyung plans to confess on his own, Su-ho surprises her by inviting her on a movie date. However, the date doesn’t go as planned.
Our view:
Naturally, just like Suho and Seojun, Jukyung’s new friend also accepted her true self. But there’s still the problem of everyone else not realizing Ju-kyung’s true identity, but this episode shows that’s the least of their concerns. In a surprising turn of events, Suho and Seojun admitted to each other that they love Jukyung. But it also resulted in them competing to be the first to confess, as if competing to win a stuffed animal wasn’t enough to fuel their feud. Here, Suho tries to take the initiative by inviting Jukyung to a movie date, but unfortunately, when Jukyung is about to confess, Suho gets in the way, and as a result, Suho thinks that he has been dumped.
But that’s not even the worst thing Suho did in this episode. He even accepted Soo-jin’s condition that she would reveal Ju-kyung’s true identity to the entire internet if she didn’t pretend to date him. Obviously, that woman intends to sexually harass Suho just to make Jukyung’s life a living hell. Soo-jin deserves another punch in the face for that alone, but I think Su-ho deserves even more karma for going along with this instead of doing the right thing and throwing his ass out on the street. As a result, Seo-joon, who confessed his love to Ju-kyung, won by a landslide. I understand that I should sympathize with Su-ho in a situation like this, but this episode did a poor job of bringing it out by making Su-ho overlook the simplest of choices. Why does love always have to be so stressful?
