Embracing the beauty of nature with simple care: a personal journey
I strongly believe that food and beauty products should only be purchased from trusted sources. These products are not meant to be used in large quantities, so it is best to invest in fewer but higher quality items.
It is natural for women to like to enhance their beauty. Because the world becomes colorful only when women themselves are surrounded by bright colors and scents. Some women are passionate about makeup and decoration, while others do it out of necessity. And then there are people like me who are simple and minimalist and just wear lipstick and nail polish once in a while.
However, most women are good at makeup and hairstyling. On the other hand, I have always been a little indifferent to fashion. Maybe it’s because my father was an extraordinary designer and artist, not only designing clothes for my mother and me, but also selecting matching make-up products, shoes, and jewelry from far-flung places. . I was obsessed with fashion when I was young, so after my father passed away, I started preferring simple clothes. But my love for luxury perfumes and nail polish remains the same.
Previously, there was much less competition in beauty and hair care products. There were only a handful of international and local brands, and the choices were limited to a few shampoos, skincare lines, and baby products. But today, the beauty market has expanded dramatically, making it difficult to choose from a wealth of national and international brands.

In the old days, women used henna to dye their hair, creams made from milk butter, winter creams made from glycerin, rose water and lemon, and homemade perfumes made from oud, musk, amber and essential oils. I was preparing beauty products at home. But now, expert dermatologists, cosmetic surgeons and beauty salon owners offer advice, and beauty products are used to improve appearance under expert guidance.
In this blog, I will share my personal experience with beauty products – what worked for me and what didn’t. I hope someone can benefit from it. First, know your skin and hair type. Different products are made for oily, dry, and normal skin, as well as for dry, curly, and oily hair. In some cases, skin and hair problems can occur due to age, hormonal changes, or underlying health conditions such as diabetes or blood-related diseases. In such cases, always consult a specialist before using medicines. Unfortunately, we often act like our own doctors and rush to use products recommended by friends or cousins without considering whether they suit our needs, causing more harm than benefit.
To maintain clear skin, reduce oily and spicy foods, drink plenty of water, eat fruits and vegetables, and maintain a balanced diet. Daily showers and regular ablutions (wudu) also help keep the skin clean. If skin problems persist, consult your doctor.
Common hair problems include hair loss, dryness, dandruff, and oiliness. The solution lies in proper nutrition, proper sleep, and home remedies such as yogurt, eggs, and oil treatments. I’ve tried everything from Sunsilk and Selsun Bleu to Garnier, L’Oréal, and The Body Shop’s Ginger Shampoo, but I haven’t found a real solution to my dandruff and frizz. In fact, only a skin specialist can provide a long-term solution to such problems.
Once in a while, pamper yourself with a home facial, pedicure, or manicure. Olive oil and coconut oil are effective for winter creams. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil, like lavender or tea tree, to give it a soothing scent. Homemade creams made with glycerin, petrolatum, beeswax, and various oils are good alternatives to commercial products. You can also make your own lip gloss and lipstick. Living in the harsh climate of Quetta, my skin often cracked, especially on my hands and feet. I tried countless creams and lotions and had frequent pedicures, but none of them worked. Then, after doing some research and following some tips online, I applied Vicks to my feet, put socks on, and went to bed. Within a few days my feet became soft and smooth. A simple treatment that could not be done for thousands of rupees can now be done for just a few hundred yen.
As for makeup, I had never used it before. The main reason was that I didn’t know how to do it and I wasn’t interested. Moreover, it is very tedious to remove makeup every time before praying. But through my sister, sister-in-law, and cousin, I learned a few things. Still, I’m a strong believer that you should only buy food and beauty products from trusted sources. These products are not meant to be used in large quantities, so it is best to invest in fewer but higher quality items.
