My name is Selinda Doolin. For the past seven years, I have worked as a real estate broker at Keller Williams Capital Realty. I have had the privilege of helping people make one of the most important decisions of their lives – buying or selling a home. For me, real estate is more than just a job. It’s a passion. Each transaction represents a unique story – a new chapter in someone’s life. I love the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives and guide them through an often stressful process.
It is incredibly rewarding to witness my clients’ joy and relief when they find their perfect home or successfully sell their cherished property.
But my commitment to making a difference goes beyond real estate. I also serve as an organizer and voter engagement coordinator for Faith Coalition for the Common Good, a nonprofit organization that shares my values of social service and social justice. Through my work with Faith Coalition, I have been involved in various voter initiatives to register individuals to vote and educate them about the importance of civic duty. I believe that voting is not only a right, but also a responsibility that allows us to have a say in shaping our society.
Connecting with community members through these voter engagement efforts has been extremely fulfilling. I enjoy sharing stories and discussing why voting is important, not only for ourselves but for future generations. Each conversation feels like a step in building confidence and helps individuals realize that their voice truly matters. I am filled with hope for the future because I have seen firsthand how an informed and engaged citizenry can drive meaningful change.
Family is at the heart of everything I do. I am the proud mother of two adult daughters, Kyla and Courtney. My daughters’ dedication to their goals inspires me every day. I am also blessed with two wonderful sons, Isaiah and Willis, and am the grandmother of two wonderful grandchildren, Nova and Oran Jr. My family is my driving force and they remind me why I strive to build better communities and a brighter society. future.
We often think about what kind of world we are building for our children and grandchildren. For me, it’s essential to be part of initiatives that foster positive change, whether it’s real estate or civic engagement. I want my grandchildren to grow up in a community that values inclusivity, responsibility, and the power of their voices. By instilling these values in my own family, I hope to leave a legacy of active citizenship and community involvement.
I aim to embody the principles of service, empathy, and engagement in both my work and my personal life. I work every day to empower those around me, whether it’s helping a family find their dream home or guiding someone through the voting process.
Each effort, no matter how small, contributes to the larger goal of building a vibrant and prosperous community. As I continue my journey as a real estate agent and community organizer, I remain dedicated to my mission of making a positive impact and ensuring that all people have the opportunity to contribute to the future of society. Masu. Together, we can build a community that not only supports our current members, but also blazes a trail for generations to come.
