“Invest in a good piece and it will last you a lifetime.” This is the motto of design writer and interior designer Mallory Roberts Morgan, who has been immersed in the world of design for 25 years. Case in point – when she first met her tech-creative client, he had just moved to Los Angeles, suitcase in hand. “When designing the interior of his bachelor apartment in West Hollywood’s iconic Sierra Towers, we focused on a combination of distinctive vintage pieces and modern LA manufacturers,” she says.
“Use your space to fit your actual lifestyle, not the lifestyle you imagine,” says Mallory Roberts Morgan. “Five years later, when I moved in with my singer-songwriter and actress fiancée, our ‘bachelor’ collection of furniture, objects, and art became the basis for the interior we had envisioned together. Ta” . Whether they were vintage finds, local manufacturers, or custom designs, each piece fit perfectly into the 1960s ranch-style home they rented in the hills above Sunset Boulevard.” continued Roberts Morgan, referring to the house pictured in the article.

“For a true California lifestyle experience, there’s nothing like mid-century LA architecture,” she continues. “And with the dynamic design and art scene this city has to offer, renting creates the perfect opportunity to focus on building your collection. Along with some clever cosmetic tricks, we’ve once again focused on curating meaningful additions to our ever-growing collection.
“Fortunately, our mid-century charm has proven to be the perfect romantic retreat, and our decorated interior, full of our couple’s ‘good things’, has proven to be the perfect romantic retreat.” It will give you a solid foundation for your life design (just kidding).
