Desus Nice is working on a travel series for Amazon.
The comedian, best known for hosting Showtime’s late-night series Desus & Mero, is working on the project with Story Syndicate and Amazon MGM Studios.
A pilot presentation is being filmed for Prime Video.
This isn’t the first time Desus, also known as Daniel Baker, has ventured into travel television. He previously appeared as a guest on Anthony Bourdain’s CNN series “Parts Unknown,” taking the host to spots around the Bronx.
Story Syndicate is best known for producing docs and documentary series such as HBO’s I’ll Be Gone In The Dark, Netflix’s Harry & Meghan, and Hulu’s Stolen Youth: Inside The Cult at Sarah Lawrence. I am.
Desus & Mero disbanded in July 2022 and ran the show for four seasons on Showtime, and before that, had a stint on Viceland for several years and as a podcast on Complex.
Since leaving the show, he has appeared as a guest host on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and The Daily Show.
