Delta will debut a new-look aircraft interior this fall.
The interior, which features a new color palette, seat covers and bright accents, will first fly on a Delta Air Lines Boeing 757 narrowbody aircraft. Early next year, Delta Air Lines plans to introduce a new look for its Airbus A350 widebody aircraft.
The airline said it is committed to updating its entire fleet with the new design.

“Additional aircraft will also feature the new cabin design over the next few years, as Delta’s schedule and operations permit,” the airline said.
Delta describes the new interior colors as softer, warmer, and more modern than Delta’s current scheme. The images show the new seat covers in a dark bluish-purple color scheme compared to the light blue seat covers currently used by the airline.
Widebody seats are fitted with memory foam cushions throughout the aircraft. Memory foam will also be installed in the first class cabin of narrow-body aircraft.

Delta One’s business class cabin features seat covers made from a breathable wool and nylon blend. Other Delta seats have leather covers.
Delta Air Lines says the plane will also have enhanced lighting capabilities.
We will introduce lighting during boarding to give the cabin a spacious feel. While you’re eating, it creates a glow similar to candlelight. And when the lights are dimmed for sleep, the airline said it will slowly filter out blue light while introducing a warm amber color reminiscent of a sunset.
Cosmetic changes will also be made to the aircraft’s lavatories, bulkheads, and ceiling patterns.
Correction: Only Delta’s widebody aircraft have memory foam cushions in the coach seats.
