The interiors of Delta Air Lines planes will be renovated.
Delta Air Lines said Tuesday that it is “committed to creating a consistent, modern look across our fleet” with the new design it just unveiled for its cabins.
The new design will give Delta’s cabins a new look, with everything on board updated from seats and bathrooms to lighting, the airline said.
Delta Air Lines says customers will first see the new cabin design on the narrow-body Boeing 757, which is designed for domestic and short-haul international flights. The airline said its debut will take place “later this fall,” when the wide-body Airbus A350 will operate long-haul international flights, before the new design will be adopted early next year.
Seats on Delta’s aircraft will feature “new seat materials” and other new design finishes, the airline said.

The airline says the main cabin and Delta Comfort+ seats will feature “engineered leather with updated colors and signature stitching and accent stripes.” Meanwhile, Delta Air Lines plans to introduce new seat covers made from “breathable engineered leather” to Delta Premium Select and First Class.

Delta One will use a wool and nylon blend for its new seat fabric, the airline said.
Through the renovation, Delta will also give the aircraft’s bathrooms bright walls and smooth floors, among other things, to “improve cleanliness and safe traction.”

Meanwhile, travelers can expect the lighting on Delta’s aircraft to be updated to be “appropriate for each stage of the flight” and help with time zone changes, the airline said.
