complete overhaul
This upgrade is aimed at improving the customer travel experience across the aircraft.
Delta One passengers will benefit from new fabric seats made from a blend of wool and nylon. These lightweight seat covers improve temperature regulation for increased rest and relaxation during your flight. The seats also feature treated leather headrests for added comfort.
Delta Premium Select and First Class cabins have been updated with new seat covers over memory foam cushions. These seats incorporate breathable synthetic leather to prioritize passenger comfort on long flights.
Delta Comfort+ and main cabin seats feature engineered leather with updated colors, signature stitching and accent stripes. Widebody aircraft in these classes will also feature new memory foam cushions to improve seat comfort.
The airline has installed an advanced lighting system designed to create a cohesive and calming cabin environment. Mood lighting adapts to different flight stages, helping passengers adjust to the time zone and feel more grounded during their journey.
Mauricio Parise, Vice President of Customer Experience Design, explains the lighting strategy:
“We’ve created warm, calming, and atmospheric lighting options for the various flight stages. During boarding, warm, inviting lighting makes the cabin appear larger. During mealtime, The colors are reminiscent of a candlelit dinner. When you sleep, the lighting is used to mimic the glow of a sunset, and the wake-up lighting gradually brightens to mimic the morning light. .”

New materials and unique design
Delta Air Lines is introducing reimagined cabin interiors featuring a softer, warmer and more modern color palette. The new design incorporates natural materials such as wool and integrates Delta’s traditional colors throughout the aircraft.
The airline’s innovative approach aims to highlight the key elements of the Delta brand and create an atmosphere of elegance and loftiness. Passengers will encounter a more home-like environment with carefully selected materials at various touchpoints. Subtle differentiation between cabin classes is achieved through strategically placed Delta widget logos and seat tags.
A new design motif on the bulkhead marks the evolution of Delta’s current in-flight branding pattern. An “infinite grid” pattern greets passengers and strengthens Delta’s global connections. The ‘Celestial Sky’ pattern evokes the excitement of air travel while incorporating elements of the airline network.
Widebody aircraft now display a branded cabin identifier in the Delta One and Delta Premium Select sections. On planes that don’t have full-size partitions between cabins, Delta has installed partitions under the luggage bins that display a pattern of the sky.
The washroom has been refreshed with bright walls and an accent wall opposite the mirror, painted in a celestial pattern. The cabinetry in these spaces is painted in a modern Azure Blue color. New flooring incorporates color specs to improve cleanliness and traction.

Delta is working to homogenize its fleet, ensuring passengers experience consistent design elements regardless of aircraft type. This strategy creates a unique and recognizable environment across Delta’s diverse fleet.
