Channel 4 has focused on its popular daytime franchise Chateau DIY and festive Christmas spin-off series Chateau DIY, which has seen orders increase over the past two years.
Chateau DIY celebrates the trials, tribulations, and incredible transformations of those who restore ancient chateaus across France. Previously, main series have been ordered as half-hour episodes, but over the next two years orders have been expanded to 45 episodes for each series.
Streaming numbers for Chateau DIY Series 7 are up +30% across the series, and the show will also air on Channel 4’s 5pm slot in 2024, securing a peak audience rating of 8% and an average viewership increase across the series. The number of subscribers was 622,000, comfortably beating the channel benchmark of 480,000.
