Technology journalist Kara Swisher recently made an eerie prediction about the future of LGBTQ rights in the United States on the Pivot podcast.
Swisher and co-host Scott Galloway typically end their episodes with predictions, and Swisher spoke first last weekend, saying, “We’re going to make something very short.”
“Italy has just passed an anti-surrogacy law, which is primarily aimed at ensuring that homosexual men, not women, bear children and depriving homosexuals of their ability to parent. , but it can’t stop them from having children, which will probably happen soon,” Swisher said, adding:
This is coming to this country, this kind of attitude, you know, everyone should not panic. When we all say Roe v. Wade will be overturned, we mean it’s over and we’re being dramatic. No one said this in a dramatic way. I listen to evangelicals and right-wingers, and they are very opposed to same-sex marriage and same-sex parenting.
“What happened in Italy, it’s heinous. And fuck Giorgia, you goddamn heinous shrew,” Swisher continued, slamming Italy’s right-wing Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
“I think this comes down to this. The idea of being against gay marriage and gay parenthood. And the fact that J.D. Vance hasn’t said anything about this because he’s pro-family. Please know. And again, I have one more child than him. This is really dangerous. I am thinking about what is happening in Italy and the same thing here. I hope it doesn’t happen, but listen to the right-wingers and they say that about same-sex marriage and same-sex parenting. So that’s it,” Swisher concluded.
“If you truly valued your family and wanted more children, you would put more money in young people’s pockets. 60% of able-bodied Americans between the ages of 30 and 34 have had at least one child at one time or another. Now it’s 27%. And I don’t think it’s because they hate the kids. I don’t think it’s because they don’t have the money,” Galloway responded.
After going back and forth on the topic, Swisher said: Incidentally, the bill already expands the domestic practice to include those seeking it in legal places such as the U.S. and Canada. Therefore, they cannot travel, or they can travel and face two years in prison and a fine. And also Giorgia Meloni can get herself fucked. ”
