Cardi B is enjoying a new chapter in her life as a single woman after separating from her estranged husband Offset and filing for divorce for the second time in July.
The sexy Bronx native joined X Spaces on Wednesday afternoon (October 16) to give fans an update on Cardi B’s journey into motherhood for the third time after giving birth in September did.
“Life has been really strange,” she said. “I’m single and I’m having fun. But I’m single and I feel like I’m having fun. I have to stop because I don’t want it to get in the way of work…I’m paranoid.” I’m just playing around now to give people my time. (Laughs) I just want peace. ”
The relationship issues between Cardi B and Offset turned sour that Cardi B accused Offset of cheating on her while she was pregnant with him while she was in France for Paris Fashion Week in late September. It spread to social media.
“I feel like there was a lot of beef two weeks ago. I feel like it’s calmed down a lot now. I don’t want to have beef with the people I love,” she added. “Despite the divorce issue, I want peace and I want friendship. I just want a healthy co-parenting relationship. And co-parenting means no cheating or cheating. I mean…I want peace. I want to be like my mom and dad. They don’t fight with each other and are just there for me and my sister.”
While she’s enjoying being a single woman for the first time since becoming a superstar, Cardi doesn’t want to lose focus on her career goals.
“Baby, I’m in heat right now,” she admitted. “I’m having a lot of fun so far.” Someone gave me a reality check yesterday: “You’re having fun here, and while it may take your mind off your personal life, it takes your mind off work.” Please don’t confuse me!”
Cardi continued about juggling motherhood: “I’m also balancing motherhood right now. It feels like I gave birth five months ago, but I really have a baby, baby. Sometimes my body goes crazy, but of course I… I gave birth 6 weeks ago. There are a lot of balancing acts going on right now.”
On the music front, the wait continues for Cardi B’s long-awaited second album. She also promised that the project will begin soon, but has not yet shared a release date. “The album is coming out really, really soon, and the announcement is really, really coming soon,” she vowed. “Things are moving further! I’m not pregnant anymore.”
