Jimmy G’s Beverly Hills Tavern, 710 Old Fritztown Rd. Setting Spring, Oct. 18. Failure. As evidenced by this non-compliance inspection, the responsible party did not demonstrate adequate control of food safety at this food facility. An employee’s beverage container was observed open in the kitchen preparation area. Fixed. A small scoop is stored in the ice of the drink with the handle touching the ice. Fixed. The food facility does not have disinfectant test strips to determine the appropriate disinfectant concentration for the three-compartment sink (for quaternary ammonia products). A loose or torn rubber door gasket was observed on a single-door freezer in the cooking line. The top right drawer of the four-drawer cooling unit in the cooking line is broken and does not close properly. Dark residue was observed inside the ice maker in the kitchen, on surfaces that come into contact with food, and it did not look or feel clean. Residue was observed on the soda nozzle in the side server room and on surfaces that come into contact with food, and it did not look or feel clean. Fixed. Dust and dirt were observed accumulating on the following surfaces: the fan in the kitchen cooking line, the rack that hangs utensils in the cooking line, and the condenser unit in the kitchen walk-in cooler. The outside door near the beer walk-in has a gap at the bottom and does not prevent pests from entering. The working containers (spray bottles) in the bar area were used to store chemicals and cleaners taken from bulk supplies and did not have the common names of the chemicals listed. Fixed.

The tubing/connections in the self-service soda dispensing unit are leaking a significant amount of water. Dirt, debris, and other items are accumulating on the floors under shelves and equipment throughout the facility. The ceiling tile in the rear electrical panel area above the single service cup storage is missing and will need to be replaced.
