Beyoncé and Solange’s mother, Tina Knowles, recently won the 2024 Glamor Woman of the Year award. Ms. Knowles is one of the mothers who raised some of the greatest icons of this generation. While attending the star-studded event, the 70-year-old shared some easy-to-follow parenting tips.

When speaking with People, Knowles candidly shared a simple solution for parents of teenagers. She said, “I feel like the teenage years are the hardest.” She added: “But things will get better and your efforts will pay off.” Ms Knowles went on to say that this is what she “really” believes. “The more love you give to your children, the more love you give them, the more care and support you give them, the more you will achieve,” she advised. Without a doubt, Knowles’ parenting tips are noteworthy.
At the event, Knowles gave a moving speech, while her daughter Beyoncé was visibly emotional as she sat in the audience. My mother said, “I have been able to do many things in my life and have been truly happy.” Knowles continued, “I’ve had many careers, but I’ve always said that the best job I’ve ever had is being a mom.”
After that, she continued to talk about her daughters. “I have had the privilege of raising four daughters and helping raise them,” Knowles said. She added, “Two were born to me and two were a gift from God.” In addition to Beyoncé and Solange, Knowles is also a mother figure to Destiny Child bandmates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland.
Knowles also said in her speech, “I was a rebellious teenager and young adult and didn’t always follow the rules.” However, she said, “The day I became a mother, I decided that I would never fail at this.”
