With 45 days until Thanksgiving and 72 days until Christmas, now is the perfect time to book your holiday tickets.
According to travel website Hopper, the first two weeks of October are the best time to book Thanksgiving flights.
This means that Monday will be the last day of that period, after which the price will increase by an average of $30 every day.
Vicki Nguyen, senior consumer research correspondent for NBC News, also said to keep this in mind when looking for a vacation.
“I’d like my boss to give me the Monday or Tuesday off to avoid flying back the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Those days are usually the busiest travel days of the year. I could save money. And it saves me time. I can come back on Monday or Tuesday,” Nguyen said.
The best time to book for Christmas is the last two weeks of October.
