Mumbai, (ANI) – Actor Varun Sobti, who is known for his intense roles, is now appearing in Sony Live’s new series ‘Raat Jawaan Hai’.
An actor who is popular on both television and OTT platforms,
explained why he took on a lighter role this time, saying that after playing intense and serious roles for a long time, he was craving something different.
“So, one day I thought, maybe there’s too much serious and intense going on in my career and in the web space. One night, my wife and I wanted to watch something lighter. But there was nothing outside of Hollywood shows and movies. So I thought maybe I needed a break from the whole thriller and intense angle thing.
Varun also talked about how this show came to him at the right time and added, It occurred to me that if I’m in the OTT space, trying my hand at surfing, and struggling to find fun, then the rest of the country’s audience might be experiencing the same thing. . ”
Talking about the impact of OTT platforms on his career, Varun says, “It has been a huge success for me. “There’s nothing I’m more thankful for than the OTT revolution. Yeah. It’s brought about exactly the kind of things I wanted to do. In terms of the stories being told, in terms of the social ethos and the characters, yeah. And in terms of the boldness that people wanted, yes. And everywhere,” Varun added.
Raat Jawaan Hai also stars Anjali Anand and Priya Bapat and is a story about the joys and challenges of parenthood. Produced by Yamini Pictures Private Limited, the series blends humour, drama and heartwarming moments to offer viewers a fresh perspective on friendship and family life.
