Ashnikko has released “Halloween VI: Possess Me,” the final track in their ongoing Halloween-themed single series.
“Possess Me,” a raging soundscape of throbbing drums and emotional vocals, expands on the alt-popper tradition of releasing a suitably spooky new song every October, which began in 2019 with “Halloweenie.” Close the border.
“For the sixth and final installment of our Halloween series, we wanted to write something playful, euphoric, sensual, and supernatural,” they said. “In my dreamscapes, it’s the soundtrack of creatures huddled together in the darkest corners of the forest, struggling, dancing, sweating, exchanging bodily fluids and ectoplasm.”
To celebrate this grand finale, Ashnikko also announced the release of “Halloweenie I-VI”. This is a special 6-song EP that combines thematic works all into one project, serving as a pit stop during 2023’s ‘WEEDKILLER’. And the next full-length.
