A new viral political video featuring men declaring themselves “man enough” to support Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign is superimposed with Hollywood actors and comedians.
The grassroots ad, released by a former Jimmy Kimmel producer last week, has garnered millions on social media as critics slam the pro-Harris video, calling it “the worst political ad ever made.” The number of times the video was played was recorded. The video’s creator said the video was made for a group called Creatives for Harris, adding that while the video was a joke, the video’s message was “true.”
A disclaimer on the 90-second video says the video was not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee, but was filmed as if it were an official campaign ad.
The article features six manly men who claim they’re manly enough to eat “carburetors for breakfast” and are “not afraid of bears,” but they’re also unafraid of women, with Harris in the Oval Office. He says he supports him.

The video was slammed on social media by conservatives and other critics, who last week questioned whether it was a parody and said Democrats “have no idea how real men talk.” insisted.
For example, Charles Gasparino, a senior correspondent for FOX Business, said, “People on the political left who have been propagating the hoi-poi that men can be women and women can be men for years have been encouraging men to participate in women’s sports. It’s very strange that we can do that.” They’re all genderless creatures and now they think they have the credibility to say what a real man is, and I’m sorry I ruined that all those years ago. ”
“The Kamala ad is a must-see,” quipped David Leboy, a fellow at the Claremont Institute. “Not only did they have no idea how real men speak, they also couldn’t find convincing male actors.”
The original YouTube page details the video, saying that the men appearing in the unofficial ad are cast members of the video, and lists the actors’ names: Winston Carter, Chris Gibson, and Lanre.・Ideu, Tony Ketchum, Mike Leffingwell, Wayland McQueen.
Fox News Digital found an IMDB page about the actor. Most of the actors have appeared in bit roles in Hollywood films or in low-budget films and short videos.
For example, actor Winston Carter, who played the burly man in the cowboy hat, has appeared in several low-budget films and short videos dating back to 2011, according to his IMDB page. Actor Tony Ketchum, who plays the old man who is unashamed of his love of West Side Story and his support for Harris, also has an IMDB page showing credits for bit roles in films such as Ghost World, in which he played the role. I have it. An episode of the 2001 movie “Alcoholics” and an episode of “The X-Files” from the same year.
Lanre Ideu plays a man who goes to the gym in the video. He’s a guy who can do 500 deadlifts and braid his daughter’s hair. His IMDB page lists credits ranging from a 2006 episode of “Arrested Development” to his work as a producer on a Christmas Hallmark movie. Ideu also posted photos on his social media pages with Democratic elected officials, including President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.

Two of the actors in the video are members of the Los Angeles improv comedy group Upright Citizens Brigade. Wayland McQueen, who plays the role of a farming man surrounded by hay bales, is listed as a current member of the Comedy Brigade and has been performing since 2008. Social media users who also researched the actors in the ad reportedly found McQueen tweeting: On identifying and acknowledging “white privilege.”

Mike Leffingwell, who stands next to a horse in an unofficial campaign ad and declares he has “no fear” of women, is also a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade, according to the comedy group’s website. That’s what it means. His bio on that page reads, in part, that Leffingwell has written “comics for DreamWorks and Netflix, jokes for The Onion and The Late Late Show, and is a Shorty Award winner. He has written a series of commercials for “The Goldbergs” on television. , Conan, and many attractive product commercials. ”

The sixth man listed as an actor in this video, Chris Gibson, also appears to be an actor, and FOX Digital found several IMDB pages advertising actors by that name, but none of them are advertised. It could not be confirmed whether it belonged to a man or not.

Over the weekend, some social media users pointed out that the video, which featured actors portraying masculine men supporting Ms. Harris, sparked fresh criticism online.
One X account said: “This campaign is so fake they even have to fake fake enthusiasm. They’re so bad at this. They honestly don’t know Google exists. Awesome,” he posted in response to a thread detailing the actors. video.
Another posted: “This explains why progressives don’t know what a real man is.”
“Everything they’re doing is fake,” said another.
The ad was created by Jacob Reed, director of “Funny or Die” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” He told Fast Company last week that the ad was created for Creatives for Harris, a grassroots group of producers, writers and advertising executives who support Harris.

Reed wrote on Substack that the video was “more sketch comedy than a political ad,” later adding, “What they’re saying is true.”
“With the rise of role models like Tim Walz and Doug Emhoff on the national stage, I think the left is finally gaining foothold in how we talk about masculinity. We are redefining what it means to be a man. I think it’s past time for American Men and I to hope that this campaign can begin to shape those conversations. Because even though this is more sketch comedy than a political ad, what they’re saying is true, except that they’re scared of bears. ” Reid posted, describing the people involved in the project as “volunteers.”
