Kakapo, a 7-year-old gray kitten, and Okapi, a 9-year-old calico kitten, have been at the shelter for a month. Although they were from the same family, they could have been adopted separately. However, if you want to add two laid-back kittens to your life, these cute ladies might be your match.
Both cats enjoy slow introductions and plenty of space to meet new people at their own pace. A patient, modest home is probably best suited for these girls. Allowing kakapos and okapis to come to you for our friendly pets is the way to their hearts.
People with older children and no dog may also like it for their next home.
If you are interested in adopting a kakapo or okapi, visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or call our adoption team at 218-722-5341. You can keep a non-refundable $25 adoption fee to put someone in priority list for adoption. Our adoption team is available by phone Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The hiring process is first-come, first-served.
