Lizzo is opening up about the eating habits behind her health transformation.
The 36-year-old detailed her daily meal plan “as a former vegan who added protein to her diet.”
The “Good as Hell” singer said that after trying veganism, she discovered a new culture’s approach to eating and adapted her diet to include animal protein.
“Someone suggested I try Japanese food because it’s one of the healthiest foods in the world and has some of my favorite foods,” Lizzo (real name Melissa Jefferson) said on October 10. He explained this in an Instagram video on Sunday. “Tests and research have shown that animal protein can help you increase energy, lose weight, and relieve mental fog.”
Rizzo said her current diet includes animal protein and animal products, but she would like to adjust that someday.
“I would like to become a raw alkaline vegan someday,” she explained. “Up until then, this diet had helped me achieve my goals and feel better about my body.”
Noting that veganism is a sensitive topic with many people participating in the diet for a variety of reasons, the Grammy winner added that she approaches the health and nutrition of others without judgment.
“I’m not going to judge you,” she said. “Do what’s best in your life at that moment. All that matters is that you’re happy. And if you’re happy, I’m happy.”
