Marseille was undoubtedly a popular destination in 2024, but where will the cool kids head next?
American Express Travel is proud to announce its annual Top Travel Awards, selected based on cardmember travel bookings and insights from the company’s travel consultants, specifically with Millennial and Gen Z travelers in mind. “Destination” hotlist was deleted.
So which destinations did they choose? Well, the Amex Travel list doesn’t have a ranking, but it does include 10 great spots around the planet. One of these is Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, which is apparently “starting to compete with Sydney and Melbourne on the cultural front, with contemporary architecture, excellent museums, and vibrant dining and nightlife options.”
Also on the list is Franschhoek, a small town nestled in South Africa’s winelands. It was also recently put on the map as home to Africa’s best restaurants, according to the World Culinary Awards.
In Europe, Brittany and Paros both made the list as well. Check out 10 trending destinations below.
