Touching wild animals is almost always a terrible idea.
As OutKick readers know, Animal Thunderdome is a crazy place. You never know what will happen outdoors. It’s important to keep your head spinning.
“Nature” is not a Disney movie. Wild animals are not your friends. Many see humans as a threat, while others see them as an easy snack.
A man who tried to pet a deer became a hot topic.
Even deer, an animal that most people consider harmless, are not interested in being touched by humans. It was shown in a video that went viral.
The situation almost ended in disaster when a man tried to pet a clearly extremely nervous deer. Watch the video below and let us know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
As you can imagine, commenters weren’t at all surprised by the reaction this man received. See some of the comments below.
Darwin’s theory was at work It was trembling The poor thing was probably scared I already knew what was going to happen When the female deer said no…she meant no to her You could tell from the look on her face that she was about to attack This isn’t Cinderella Castle The birds aren’t singing for you Bruh, I threw my phone up in the air Why did I jump up and down my phone? I almost threw him, my brother thought he was the deer whisperer.
If you find a wild animal in the wild, it’s almost always best to leave it alone. There are some limited exceptions, but often the best option is to do nothing.
As I said above, Animal Thunderdome is not a movie! It’s a potential house of fear, and I say that as someone who grew up in the countryside. Petting a deer is something I would never do, and you might see the deer move alarmingly close to your house.
