Holland America Line will host the Alaska Cruise and Travel Show on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina in San Diego.
The free expo, held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., allows locals to explore Alaska cruise vacations and discover the best ways to experience the destination on Holland America Line.
This is the first time Holland America has brought the Alaska Travel Expo to San Diego, following a previous event in Seattle, Washington. Vancouver, British Columbia. and Phoenix, Arizona. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet experts who will enhance their Alaska experience, taste local specialties, participate in activities such as gold panning and ax throwing, and enjoy live presentations and demonstrations.
“San Diego is a major homeport for Holland America Line, which operates cruises to Hawaii, Mexico, and the South Pacific, but Seattle and Vancouver from Alaska are just a short flight away,” says Holland America Line Consumer said Bill Fletcher, Senior Director of Programs.
“We look forward to meeting prospective Holland America Line cruisers and guests who have already booked their Alaska vacations. By bringing together true Alaska experts, we are looking forward to providing you with the best possible glacier viewing experience. From more opportunities to see wildlife and nature on shore excursions, we’re introducing more ways to experience our great land with Holland America.”

Additionally, those who book a Holland America Line Alaska cruise or cruise tour during the event will receive special offers including deposit discounts and onboard credits.
At the event, the line’s shore excursion experts will be available to discuss Alaska touring options. Guests booking an Alaska cruise can also book excursions and customize their trip with onboard amenities.

Presentation on the Alaska shipboard experience, including glacier day programs, meals, and entertainment. Opportunity to meet local exhibitors of Alaska’s top attractions.
In 2025, six Holland America ships will operate in Alaska, offering itineraries that include round-trip cruises from Seattle or Vancouver, as well as sailings between Whittier, Alaska, and Vancouver. Each cruise features a visit to an Alaskan glacier destination.
