Palisade, Colo. (KJCT) – Grande River Vineyards hosted “Stray Grass for Stray Pets” on October 11th.
The event brought together Mesa County residents to enjoy food, wine, music, and support the Lois Hearst Humane Society.
“Proceeds will benefit Lois Hearst Humane Society pets and programs,” said Jenna Kretschman, Lois Hearst Communications Coordinator. “We rely on the support of the community to do all of our operations, including animal care and the various assistance programs we offer for local pet owners.”
Lois Hurst was joined by community sponsors including St. Mary’s Regional Hospital and Chow Down.
“We love our supporters, but it’s quite unusual to be able to see so many of our supporters’ faces in one place at the same time, so it’s really great to be able to all be here today. I’m lucky,” Kretschmann said.
“Stray Grass for Stray Pets” was part of “Dollar a Day,” a week-long special adoption event.
Kretschmann said the adoption fee will be deducted by $1 for each day a pet is housed at Lois Hearst.
On October 12th from 11pm to 2pm, Lois Hurst will host an adoption event at Grande River Vineyards.
“Dollar a Day” runs through October 19th. For more information, please visit the Roice Hurst website.
