Over the past few months, reports have circulated that the Motor City Machine Guns could be moving to WWE. The news was seemingly confirmed by a video package shown on last week’s WWE SmackDown that featured footage from the duo’s hometown of Detroit, Michigan. Appearing on the Battleground Podcast, WWE star Tommaso Ciampa explained why he is excited to step into the ring with MCMG.

“I think it’s a natural choice,” Ciampa said. “For whatever reason, whether it’s our style or just our size, everyone always seems to pair us up with those guys. They’ve been an influence on tag team wrestling for 20 years. We’ve taken things from them, taken concepts and ideas from them.”I’ve never really played against them in my career, singles or tag. Ta. ”
Ciampa then explained that he and Gargano in particular already have a good relationship with the duo, which will make them even more fun to work with. As for opponents, Ciampa has Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin at the top of his list.
The conversation also touched on the current status of the tag team division in WWE. Ciampa believes things are going well, but there’s always room for improvement. He feels that Sherri and Sabin can do a lot to spice up the division, and believes WWE fans will soon see them as a tag team.

Initial reports suggested that the Machine Guns would be moving to WWE NXT, but it now appears much more likely that they will debut directly on the main roster. While Sherri has previously appeared in the promotion several times with her other tag team partner, KUSHIDA, this will be Sabin’s first time wrestling in WWE.
