Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes announced in a handwritten statement on Friday, October 4, that they had “sadly” decided to take an indefinite hiatus.
Formed in 2015, vocalists Frank Carter and Dean Richardson have released five albums together under the name ‘Rattlesnakes’, the most recent being January’s ‘Dark Rainbows’, which released in the UK. It was in the top 10. Since then, Carter has appeared on numerous shows. The Sex Pistols’ Paul Cooke, Glenn Matlock and Steve Jones performed the band’s 1977 album Never Mind the Bollocks in its entirety.
Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes shared the news on Instagram (see below), writing: We regret to announce that Rattlesnakes will be suspending their activities. From the deepest bass to the highest treble, through sadness, anger, and joy, our band has celebrated being alive no matter the circumstances.
“We would like to send our love and gratitude to the band, Gareth, Tank, Elliott and Mitch. It was an honor to share the stage with some of the best musicians we know. Changed our lives. We hope you’ll join us as we continue to celebrate our UK and European tour and we look forward to seeing you on the dance floor.
Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes, who toured the UK, Europe, the US and Australia this year with their ‘Dark Rainbows’ tour, will play their final shows for the time being this autumn. Tickets for these farewell shows are available here and you can find out where the band will be stopping below.
