Ghana Football Association (GFA) Communications Director Henry Asante Tumu has expressed concern over the fitness of Los Angeles Galaxy winger Joseph Paintsil ahead of Ghana’s crucial double-header against Sudan.
Paintsil was a substitute in Sunday’s game against LA Galaxy, raising doubts about his participation in the upcoming AFCON qualifiers.
“We have some concerns about Joseph Paintsil. He was substituted during the Los Angeles Galaxy match, so we have contacted the club to get a full report on his fitness,” Asante Tuum said on Ghanasoccernet.com He spoke to Peace FM under the supervision of

Ghana is scheduled to play Sudan in back-to-back matches on October 10 and 15, 2024, with the first leg to be played at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Black Stars currently sit third in Group F with one point from two games and need to win both games to qualify for AFCON 2025 in Morocco.
