Bloober Team released Silent Hill 2 update 1.003.000 over the weekend. No official patch notes were found, but players say major issues have been fixed. Apparently, some players were hit with a major spoiler right after the start of the campaign due to the game’s localization failure.
Silent Hill 2 update 1.003.000 details (October 4, 2024)
According to Italian players, a translation error occurred within the first 30 minutes of Silent Hill 2, resulting in text that ultimately ruined the plot. They quickly banded together to notify the Bloober team, who sprang into action just as quickly.
On Reddit (avoid clicking if you don’t want spoilers), a player confirmed that he was one of the players who reported this issue to the developers a week ago, and after the latest patch it was fixed. It seems like it was. .
We don’t know (yet) what else this patch does, but if you’re buying Silent Hill 2 on disc, we recommend downloading it. The game will be released worldwide tomorrow, October 8th, but many people have already been playing the game since last week thanks to the change in release date following early access.
We will update this post if patch notes are released.
