Shavonne (@onceuponabungalow_diy) has amassed nearly 5,000 subscribers on YouTube with her renovated 1960s bungalow.
She released a 60-second YouTube short clip showing how she built a privacy wall in her garden that unexpectedly went viral.
The impressive building was separated from the site’s existing wooden fence.
She used a ladder and a drill to install a tall wooden fence and devised a way to make it more eye-catching.

“We added pressure-treated pine for the privacy wall after digging the posts three feet deep in the ground,” she said.
“Then I framed the acrylic panel, cut it at a 45-degree angle, and scored it with a table saw.
“This way, we were able to fit the wood pieces on top of the acrylic to create the perfect fence.”
Chavonne and her partner glued pieces of pine to the back of the acrylic panels to make them stand out from the fence.
They chose black acrylic panels with decorative patterns.
“These panels were purchased at a local hardware store and I have not added any stain or sealer to the wood yet,” she said.
“Then we added a planter box.”
DIY Privacy Fence: An Affordable Garden Solution
Chavonne perfected her privacy fence by choosing hard-wired lighting over solar-powered lamps.
Footage of the finished result showed a “beautiful” wooden privacy fence with three decorative panels suspended above the planter box.
Two lights were installed between the acrylic boards to illuminate the garden at night.
