Melania said President Trump told Fox News on Sunday that her views on abortion were no surprise to her husband.
“Yes, he knew my position and beliefs from the day we met. And I believe in personal freedom,” she told host Maria Bartiromo.
“I want to decide what I want to do with my body. I don’t think I want the government involved in my personal business,” she added.
A few hours later, her husband will hold a rally in Wisconsin. It comes just one day after he held an event filled with lies at a venue in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he survived an assassination attempt just three months earlier. At Saturday’s rally, he suggested that his political opponents “maybe tried to kill me.” He is scheduled to hold a rally in Juneau, Wisconsin, on Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Kamala Harris faced a media onslaught this week as she sat down for interviews with The View, late night host Stephen Colbert and radio host Howard Stern, with 30 days left until the election. I’m planning on embarking.
In a preview of her interview with 60 Minutes, Harris was pressed about the U.S. relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as the Middle East war marks a year old, but she mostly dodged the question.

Lara Trump pressured by CNN’s Dana Bash over FEMA misinformation
CNN’s Dana Bash presses Lara Trump after her father-in-law Donald Trump repeated false claims about FEMA aid directed to Hurricane Helen survivors.
Referring to the Biden-Harris administration, the former president falsely claimed at Saturday night’s Butler rally: “They are giving $750 to people whose homes have been washed away. Yet we are sending tens of billions of dollars to foreign countries that most people have never heard of. 750. They were destroyed, and so were these people.”
Earlier this week, the Republican candidate baselessly claimed that Kamala Harris spent all of her FEMA money on “housing illegal immigrants who shouldn’t be in our country.”
In fact, the White House has made it clear that survivors will initially receive $750 after applying for the Serious Assistance program. In addition, survivors may be eligible for additional financial assistance from FEMA, such as repairing storm damage to homes and property, finding a temporary place to stay, and compensation for lost crops and livestock. Click here for details.
Bash asked North Carolina native Lara Trump if she was “concerned” about the spread of misinformation and how it would affect her ability to seek help. “Look, Kamala Harris just said $750 per family,” she said, before comparing the amount spent on the “immigration crisis.”
“It’s true that FEMA is receiving $750, but that’s a first step,” Bash explained.

Harris talks about Israel relations in new interview
Kamala Harris will discuss the relationship between the United States and Israel in a CBS 60 Minutes interview scheduled to air Monday.
Harris was asked by Bill Whitaker whether the White House lacked influence over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“Thanks to the assistance we gave to Israel, Israel was able to defend itself against 200 ballistic missiles intended to attack Israelis and Israelis,” Harris said.
“When we think about the threat that Hamas Hezbollah poses to Iran, I think it’s definitely our responsibility to do everything we can to help Israel protect itself from that kind of attack.”

ICYMI: President Trump Falsely Suggests Rivals ‘Tried to Kill Me’ at Scene of Assassination Attempt
Donald Trump returned to the scene of his near-assassination this summer, and his decision to face death doesn’t seem to have changed him one bit.
On Saturday night, President Trump returned to Butler, Pennsylvania, and left listening to a live rendition of Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA,” opening with the words “I told you so.” I mentioned the previous meeting at . The event ended abruptly when a gunman fired an AR-15 at the stage, grazing the ear, killing one attendee and injuring two others.
Rather than giving the former president a new perspective on the domestic political situation, President Trump’s comments appear to have made him more unstable. During the rally, he suggested that his political opponents “maybe tried to kill me.”

President Trump boasts that he doesn’t need a teleprompter while sandwiched between teleprompters at Butler rally
Donald Trump took to the stage in Butler, Pennsylvania and asked, “Wouldn’t it be great to have a president who doesn’t need a teleprompter?” While speaking next to someone on Saturday (Oct. 5), he repeated a line he used at a rally in Michigan. Speaking at the scene of his near-assassination in July, the former president declared, “We’re not overusing teleprompters…We don’t need them.” This was truly a place in the sun. ” Minutes earlier, Trump appeared to read from a teleprompter as he introduced Elon Musk on Butler’s stage, explaining how the billionaire was “the first U.S. He explained how he founded a major automobile company.
