King Charles was successfully forced to change his daily eating habits, proving that even the head of the royal family cannot escape pressure from his wife.
It is no secret that His Majesty prefers to skip lunch because he has to follow a busy and demanding work schedule and does not have time for game pie, salmon or roast lamb.
In fact, his aversion to refusing to eat lunch has become so well-known that it receives special mention in a list of 70 facts about King Charles published by Clarence House.
But now that the King has unfortunately been diagnosed with cancer, Queen Camilla is taking his bad habits very seriously.
MailOnline reports that Her Majesty the Queen, doctors and aides have urged King Charles to eat a proper meal at lunch to maintain his physical and mental strength.
Still, he can’t help but believe that it’s best to carry out royal duties without sandwiches, fruit salad, or quiche.
However, under pressure from Queen Camilla, Her Majesty “reluctantly” began “eating half an avocado at lunch instead of a full-sized meal.”
Although there is very limited scientific discovery showing that certain foods can improve cancer treatment or slow the progression of the disease, it is important for patients to eat something to help them gain strength.
This is especially because chemotherapy is very debilitating.
King Charles has only slightly changed his routine of skipping lunch so far, but with Queen Camilla’s reign, it is expected that he will start eating properly soon.
