It’s been just two weeks since Hurricane Helen devastated the southern United States, and forecasters are warning of more hurricanes to come.
This storm, called Tropical Storm Milton, could have a huge impact, especially since it is expected to blanket the state of Florida.
The storm is not expected to make landfall until Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, but at least two airlines have already issued travel advisories. At this time, this disturbance is only considered a tropical cyclone, but it is expected to develop into a major hurricane.

JetBlue Airways and United Airlines both made prudent decisions.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has already declared a state of emergency for 35 Florida counties, and cruise lines are preparing to do the same. “While Milton’s path could change over the next few days before it makes landfall, we expect the hurricane to make landfall somewhere along the Gulf Coast by late Tuesday night or early Wednesday,” Royal Caribbean said in a statement. Partially stated.
In some areas, there are still piles of debris on the road from Helen. Milton was described as “potentially dangerous and destructive.”

“This is an unusual and very concerning forecast path for a hurricane approaching the Tampa Bay area,” AccuWeather Chief Meteorologist John Porter warned. “Milton has the potential to rapidly develop into a major hurricane with significant impact. This hurricane has the potential to produce life-threatening storm surge. We ask our family and friends in the area to prepare. .”
Travelers should continue to monitor their respective airlines and cruise lines.
