One for Miri, one for Teddy, one for Petit, one for Cedar, and Fr. Martin Bui offered a blessing as he walked through a small crowd gathered at St. Nicholas Church on Friday afternoon.
Megha Chandra carefully held her pet pigeon, Puti, in her hand. Teddy the Shih Tzu sat patiently at his owner’s feet, while Miri was held in his arms. Buoy rode into the horse trailer to congratulate Cedar the Mustang.
On the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Nicholas Church held its annual Blessing of the Animals. Most of the animals were dogs, but all creatures were welcome.
