Moooi, an eclectic and global design brand founded by Dutch-born designer Marcel Wanders, has opened as a hub of inspiration for designers and architects in collaboration with sustainable Dutch flooring company Senso. , which can now be seen in Culver City.
“Los Angeles is one of the cultural and economic capitals of the world, full of creators, innovators and trendsetters,” said Joshua Munzenmayer, director of America’s Mooi. “We couldn’t think of a better community to serve Moooi’s creative and luxurious collection.”
With showrooms and stores around the world, including London (opened in 2016), Tokyo, New York, and Berlin, Moooi LA is distinguished by its cream and pale green colors in its vintage, curved spaces. It’s a palette. Strongly inspired by the brand’s recent Milan Design Week 2024 presentation and the interior architecture concept by Beyond.
“It’s exciting to see a new showroom in Los Angeles,” said Laszlo Perlachi, who immigrated from the UK to manage the West Coast business. “As a global design brand, we want to provide a consistent look and feel and product line for every space.” This includes Bendable by BCXSY, to name a few standout examples. “Tube Lighting”, a greenhouse wallpaper collection with exotic floral motifs, and a connectable “Kiss Lounge Chair” created by Wonders.

Luxury British design brand Cabonet has opened a stunning new showroom at Pacific Design Center featuring kitchen and closet décor, providing inspiration for designers and homeowners. “These custom moments we create are just the starting point,” says Andrew Hayes, founder, architect and designer of Arteim design house in London.
The brand, which has been hugely popular on the West Coast since its inception, was about to put down roots. “Los Angeles is a global design capital that attracts creators and clients who embrace the new and unexpected. This drive for innovation creates the ideal environment to showcase breakthrough interior products. “We encourage that,” Hayes added.

From durable and stylish metal fabrics to gunmetal finishes, materials are sourced from across Europe, including Italian marble, Lithuanian wood and German metal. If James Bond had a kitchen, this is what it would look like. Islands and counters feature hidden UBS sticks with care instructions and recipes, glass tea medicine cabinets, oyster drawers, cocktail cabinets, and anything else a chef or seasoned home cook could desire, even humidity. Contains hidden drawers and small items. Managed bread box.
The art gallery next door hosts regular exhibitions, starting with photographer Norman Seeff. Stephen Cooper will be the lead designer on site (for the Cooper Pacific family). “I love art in the kitchen. It’s just not enough. And this is a different take on the kitchen studio.”

Australian architect and designer Jordan Mothra brings custom stone tables, vanities, and vintage Italian Murano glass sconces to the U.S. to serve clients in select showrooms and on a more personal level. We created a way to connect. “Los Angeles is a community of creative innovators unlike any other place in the United States. This is one of the reasons I chose to move here from Australia to further my career in design and architecture.” Mothra said.
The design atelier is known for its furniture and interior objects derived from antiquity, with a deep love for natural stones such as limestone, Traveltino and Calacatta marble. “Los Angeles has such an exciting, forward-thinking design culture and is home to so many exciting designers and architects, so it was natural for me to open a flagship store for FORM (LA), the birthplace of the brand. “It was,” he said.

After searching for a space for several months, Mothra settled on a spacious bow-and-truss building in Hollywood, within walking distance of the Sycamore area’s tony shops, galleries, and cafes.
New to the range is a seating collection with chairs inspired by 1970s Italian mid-century design with an emphasis on comfort. From the ‘Curvo Chair’ in solid walnut to the ‘Tubo Chair’ in polished chrome, the range includes wool boucle seats in a range of neutral hues, perfectly paired with one of our signature tables.
