Walking into Mark’s Club feels like stepping into an English country estate in the middle of Mayfair. The historic private members’ club, located off a quiet road, has reopened after a sophisticated renovation overseen by businessman Richard Caring. The new interior continues the timeless charm the club is known for, while injecting the charm of a typical country house in the heart of London.

Established in 1972, the club was created to replace the St James’s Gentlemen’s Club, and its space and amenities, including a hearty English menu, have been enjoyed by members ever since.
Upon entering the newly renovated club, the reception doubles as an elegant cloakroom and passageway to the main ground floor living room. A large George Stubbs painting attracts guests, along with a 1900s British Hughes clock.

The living room and dining area provide a majestic atmosphere where members can sit back and relax. Further into the club, the bar area serves tea, coffee and juice during the day, as well as a selection of fresh fruit and French pastries. In the evening, the menu features classic cocktails such as the Bellini, served in a Murano glass.

Outside the dining room, a new addition beckons. Equipped with potted and hanging plants and attractive lanterns, the greenhouse brings a classic English country garden indoors. The new dining space walks a beautiful tightrope between light and airy and cozy and intimate. This is an area where you can share quiet conversations by candlelight.

Mark’s Club’s menu reflects its atmosphere, offering classic British dishes from chicken pie to Dover sole and Loch Duart smoked salmon. Our sommelier will help you decide on the perfect pairings from our extensive wine list, which includes aged clarets and Italian gems. It’s also the perfect spot to relax and enjoy afternoon tea, which is being planned soon.

An oak-floored staircase leads to the main bar area and adjoining reception room on the ground floor, offering a less formal atmosphere and an extensive cocktail menu. The upstairs game room continues this laissez-faire theme, with backgammon sets laid out and ready for play. The first floor terrace still hosts the Mark’s Club cigar program, which includes vintage and collectible cigars from around the world. The terrace also offers a more relaxed dining experience, with menus ranging from Exmoor caviar to petit fours to round off a leisurely evening.
