When it comes to Americans arriving at their vacation destinations this year, many have a preferred method of travel.
Motel 6 and Studio 6 announced the results of their 2024 Holiday Travel Study, which found that more travelers prefer to travel by car.
More than half (51%) said they planned to drive to their destination, and 13% said they planned to fly.

The survey, conducted by Talker Research, questioned 2,000 Americans celebrating the winter holidays.

“There’s nothing like packing a trunk full of gifts and casseroles into the family car and taking a road trip to celebrate the holidays,” Julie Arrowsmith, president and CEO of G6 Hospitality, said in a press release. It’s a comforting and nostalgic feeling.”

A spokesperson for AAA told Fox News Digital in an email that driving allows travelers more flexibility in setting departure times.

“Driving a car has always been overwhelmingly popular because it tends to be cheap and convenient for most people,” the spokesperson said.
