DIY tasks can be stressful for your pet, but there are ways to make it a safe and enjoyable experience. According to home and garden website Room for Tuesday, creating a calm environment during home renovations is essential. Dogs are creatures of habit, so sudden noises, new people, unusual smells, etc. can make them uncomfortable.
To help them cope, it’s important to provide them with a ‘safe zone’ where they can retreat if things get too difficult. Ideally, it’s a familiar room with a bed, a favorite toy, and maybe a treat.
Keeping your dog occupied with interactive toys and prolonged chewing during intensive DIY sessions can also prevent them from becoming too curious about potentially dangerous tools.

Keeping paint, nails, and other sharp objects out of reach is the key to a pet-friendly workspace.
Delilah’s small head torches are part of a growing trend among pet owners. LED headlights for dogs were originally designed for night walks, making them easy to see and be seen even in dark places, protecting your pet’s safety and increasing visibility.
These lights are becoming increasingly popular among outdoor enthusiasts who hike, camp, or walk their pets after dark. For Delilah, the DIY Helper role has added functionality.
TikTok users couldn’t get enough of Delilah’s opinion and flooded her with loving comments.
One viewer joked: “Why do those glasses look like his?”
A second user wrote: “Best assistant I’ve ever seen.”
“He had a cocky look in his eyes,” said a third.
“She made sure to stay focused after what was said,” Erin wrote.
“What a supportive diva,” another TikTok user commented, capturing the internet’s admiration for Delilah’s role as a DIY sidekick.
