Meet Buffy and Joyce!
We adopted Buffy and Joyce from the Briarcliff Manor SPCA on January 2, 2023. Joyce is Buffy’s mother. Buffy was the kitten’s only survivor, and the shelter wanted to keep them together. The story warmed our hearts and we had to hire both. Buffy is the gray tiger on the left, and Joyce is the plain gray and white one with a mustache. We named her after the title character of the movie and TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer and her mother Joyce.
These divas rule the house and the people! Their royal titles are Mustache Queen Joyce (also known as Mustache) and Buffy the Cuteness Slayer (also known as Buffy the Toy Slayer).
Buffy and Joyce nap together, play and wrestle together, and then pick up Zoomy at 2am. They each weigh less than 10 pounds, but they make noises like a herd of elephants as they run around the house. Their favorite toys are Crescent’s yellow stuffed moon and red rope. They love perching on cat trees by floor-to-ceiling windows and watching the birds and other creatures come and go.
Buffy and Joyce bring a lot of joy to humans.
