– In a recent interview with Insight with Chris Van Vleet, WWE Hall of Famer Charles Wright, aka The Godfather, talked about having knee and hip replacement surgery and changing his diet to lose weight . Here are some highlights (via WrestlingInc.com).
The Godfather said of his recent knee and hip surgeries: “I had hip and knee surgery last year. I weighed 310/312 pounds when I started the surgery and now I’m around 245/250 pounds. I feel great and look great. I hope so, I feel great, but the way I eat, when I eat, what I eat has changed a lot, and my lifestyle has changed a lot.”
On his current diet: “I try not to eat any sugar. I keep my carbohydrates low. I don’t eat after 5 p.m. and I don’t eat before 10 p.m. Jack Daniels unless I have a taker. I don’t eat bread or fast food. Not because it’s unhealthy, but for some reason I don’t like red meat anymore and I don’t like grass-fed either. I don’t like that taste anymore. It doesn’t excite me.”
The former Intercontinental and Tag Team Champions were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the 2016 class.
