Experience the beloved story of the past in Live Oak Theater’s new and exciting production of Disney’s timeless stage masterpiece, Beauty and the Beast.
Disney’s Broadway classic Beauty and the Beast is a family musical based on the 1991 Academy Award-winning animated film. Beauty and the Beast is the story of a young woman who stumbles upon a remote castle occupied by a gigantic beast and numerous magical objects, trying to break a witch’s spell before it’s too late.
This is a classic romantic tale of finding love in an unexpected place, and it has won the hearts of countless audiences around the world. This musical is packed with unforgettable characters, imaginative sets and costumes, and breathtaking production numbers. Most roles are shared between two cast members.
Disney’s stage musical features music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, and a book by Linda Woolverton. The film is based on Walt Disney Pictures’ animated film “Beauty and the Beast,” which is based on the fairy tale “Beauty and the Beast” by French author Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont.

All songs from the animated film were reused in the musical, including revived musical numbers that had been cut from the film. Original songwriter Menken, along with lyricist Tim Rice, composed six new songs for the album.
Seats cost $25 for adults and $10 for children 13 and under when purchasing an adult seat. Performances will be held from November 8th to 10th, 15th to 17th, and 22nd to 24th, 2024. Friday and Saturday night shows start at 7:30 p.m. Doors open for Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m., and doors open approximately 30 minutes before show time. Season passes are still available for 2024-2025. All performances will take place at the Carol and Frank Morsani Center for the Arts, 21030 Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville, Florida 34601.
