Rahane also expressed his enjoyment of batting alongside Kohli, highlighting their mutual appreciation and ability to compliment each other during the innings.
“I really enjoyed batting with Virat Kohli. We appreciate each other and complement each other while batting. He created a great partnership for India. It was fun batting with him. With Virat Kohli My favorite partnership was the 260-odd run partnership in Australia in the 2014 Test series,” Rahane added.
Although Rahane is not part of the national team, he has become a reliable middle-order batsman for India, especially in overseas situations. He will always be remembered for captaining the team to an impressive win in the 2020-21 Test series in Australia.
Earlier this month, Rahane led Mumbai to victory in the Iran Cup, defeating the rest of India with an opening lead and ending a 27-year title drought.
Rahane emphasized the importance of giving players “freedom” and “confidence.”
“There is no secret to success. I strongly believe that this game is not for individuals. Eleven players play and four or five sit outside. All players are equally important.” Mr. Rahane answered questions. His performance as captain of both Mumbai and India.
“As captain, it is important to give them freedom and confidence, because each player is a match winner in their own position. Every player has a responsibility. “I can give opinions that you wouldn’t think of as a captain,” he added.
