Dolly, which has a favorite spot in Tracy Stumpf’s Arnold home, was transplanted to the area from Tennessee. Stumpf said he took the photo of the now 1-year-old mixed-breed female in April.
“We adopted her from the Memphis Humane Society in Shelby County, Tennessee,” she said. “I saw her online. We took a road trip to Tennessee and adopted her.”
She said the trip was worth the drive.
“She’s a good dog and very sweet,” Stumpf said. “She is truly a sweetheart to everyone, to people and to pets.”
Dolly is often seen sitting in a chair in photos.
“She likes to sit in the chair,” Stumpf said. “They say that’s Dolly’s chair.”
Dolly quickly became a valued member of the family, Stumpf said.
“We feel really blessed to have her,” she said.
